Please note this is no longer necessary. The Kinect has been replaced in newer RoboThespians and in SociBot with an onboard depth sensor (Asus Xtion). These pages are retained for reference only.

USB Connection to Touchscreen PC

Open the touchscreen kiosk and plug the Kinect into any free USB port on the back of the touchscreen PC.

If necessary a USB extension cable up to 3m in length can be used. Longer cables can lead to loss of signal from the Kinect.

Kinect power supply

The Kinect has its own power supply. Plug the Kinect's power supply into a mains outlet.
